A small agency, on purpose

Flip Flop Traveller began with friends asking us where to stay. We live in Malé, we take the same speedboats and seaplanes our travellers do, and we had opinions — which island is worth the transfer, which guesthouse actually faces the beach, which reef is better in the morning.

That is still how we work. Every hotel, guide and boat on our list is one we have visited, vetted, or sent people to before and heard back about. If somewhere slips, it comes off the list. If you ask us for something we would not book ourselves, we will say so.

There is no checkout on this website, and that is deliberate. A trip is worth a conversation: your dates, who is coming, what you want the week to feel like. You send a message, a person reads it, and you get a real answer — usually within the hour, and with you for the whole trip rather than just the booking.

Beyond the Maldives we plan trips through Bali and Vietnam, the two routes we travel most ourselves. We take bank transfer and card, and we also accept BTC and USDT.
